It looks like getting Firefox to run on Android is a reality. It's slow going, but it's coming together.
Fennec (Firefox Mobile) was supposed to be ported to Android but it looks like they're also porting a full version of Firefox. Since Android will soon run on larger devices like Netbooks, running Firefox on Android will be a must. If they can get full Firefox to run, then getting Firefox Mobile to run should be a snap.

Google is issuing the first over the air update to its Nexus One phone. Users will receive a message on their phone's notification bar and will be able to download the update.

There is new evidence that Google's Nexus One Android phone may be heading to AT&T and Sprint. Until now the Nexus One has only run on T-Mobile, however a recent FCC filing from Google shows that the plan is for the Nexus One to run on WCDMA Bands I, II and V, the bands that AT&T and several Canadian carriers use for 3G data.

During a conference call to discuss it latest quarterly results, Motorola confirmed that it will make a Google phone. CEO Sanjay Jha said that 20 new smartphones are on tap for the year and that one of them will be a "direct to consumer device with Google."

According to Cnet Asia, Motorola is gearing up to release a large number of Android phones this year. In fact, Cnet says the company will release 20-30 Android phones worldwide in 2010.

There has been no official release date for Windows Mobile 7 and the world has been anxiously awaiting Microsoft's next move in the mobile space. This weekend French tech blogger Eric of Presse Citron, tweeted from the LG Design Lab that the company will release a Windows Mobile 7 phone in September. According to analytics firm Flurry, the Google Nexus One sold only 20,000 units in its first week of sales. That has to be a pretty disappointing number compared to other phone's first week sales numbers. Combine this news with the number of complaints the Nexus One has already received and the news isn't good for Google right not.
